Documentation - Virus Preferences

Infected Email
This preference determines how Counteragent handles infected email. It can either be deleted immediately, or placed in the Counteragent 2:Counteragent Files:Mail:Quarantined folder. If you later want to deliver quarantined mail, simply drag the messages out of this folder and into the EIMS Server:Mail Folder:Incoming Mail folder.
Suspicious Email
You should only get suspicious email if there is an error returned by ClamAV. Therefore, it is best NOT to delete it. It is also recommended that you select to be notified on Suspicious Email so that you can take care of a problem quickly. If you choose "Move to Suspicious Folder", the messages will be placed in the Counteragent 2:Counteragent Files:Mail:Suspicious folder. If you later want to deliver suspicious mail, simply drag the messages out of this folder and into the EIMS Server:Mail Folder:Incoming Mail folder.
Auto Database Updates
This preference allows Counteragent to automatically update the ClamAV databases. This is highly recommended as the database updates come very quickly and often several times a day. You can also manually update the ClamAV database under the Virus->Update Virus Definitions menu.
Notify Admin On
This allows you to determine when Counteragent notifies the admin regarding various events. Notify Admin on Scanner Errors simply notifies the admin if a message timesout being scanned based upon the Timeout preference set in the General Preferences.
